White Kitchens Are Here to Stay! Here Are Some Basics to Know

There are also some of you who are now asking are white kitchens still in style because, for you — they always have been. Don’t worry; you aren’t wrong, and it is one of the most unique traits of white kitchens. When it comes to trends and fads, they come and go, but while kitchens, even when they haven’t been all the rave, have never been out of style.

In school cafeterias, restaurant kitchens, and hospital kitchens, white is still the most common color. There are also many reasons for that, in addition to the fact that white simply looks clean.

Kitchens have experienced the dull pastels and lime greens of the 1970s, and most recently, off-white colors have been taking the world of kitchen decor by storm. Today, however, a resurgence of an old, never-out-of-style favorite, white.

This new growing trend in white kitchens is also helped by another trait that is particular to white kitchens; its ability to transform. Simply add some black gloss handles on the drawers and cupboards, and a few black or silver accent pieces, and your kitchen will go from white to white with a modern edge.

Are white kitchens a fad or a passing fancy? No.

Are white kitchens still in style? Yes, and more popular than ever with new combinations and styles to make your white kitchen the hottest room in your home.

If you are considering white kitchen decor, remember these basics:

  • Keep it simple. White works with most colors but not too many colors.
  • Black and white are always a classy combination.
  • Wood accents can help white feel more traditional.
  • Consider your countertops and kitchen decor before choosing white decor.

White is as popular as ever, and it is also most at home in kitchens, which is even more true today. So go white with your kitchen, and feel free to make it your own.
